Rear brake noise came back from previous Priority Toyota service on 18Sep2023 invoice number 1418345 where they replaced both rear wheel cylinders. This time the wheel cylinders were still good and they recommended replacing the shoes, drums, and hardware kits with OEM parts. That fixed the noise for now. This problem has been ongoing since 9/13/2022.

It appears that the continuing rear brake noises are being caused by the rear Wheel Cylinders because it makes the noise when the car is not moving by just pressing the brake pedal. The new OEM Wheel Cylinders installed by Priority Toyota are not making any noises at all for now. This problem has been ongoing since 9/13/2022.

Replaced right rear Wheel Hub Assembly to see if it would get rid of the rear brake noise and it didn’t.

The rear brake noise was still there so White’s rebuilt both wheel cylinders, replaced all shoes, and turned both drums. That fixed the noises.

Had several noises when braking, checked all brakes and everything looked like new. The new pads, rotors, shoes, and drums were only 10 months old and less than 5000 miles on them and looked perfect. I took it to White’s Automotive and he found the left rear brake making noises. He cleaned the brakes, greased contact points, sanded the shoes, and adjusted the handbrake. This got rid of the squeaky brake noise but not the deeper brake noise. Have another appointment to try again.

We had no heat last winter so I asked White’s Automotive to try and flush some of the gunk buildup out of the heater coil. That seemed to work mostly but if it gunks back up again the heater coil would probably have to be replaced.

After replacing front and rear brakes to try fixing the skirtch-skirtch-skirtch noises when stopping I took the Corolla to White’s Automotive to see if they could find the noise. He thought the noise was coming from the rear wheel cylinders. He replaced both rear wheel cylinders and it fixed the noise.

Started having brake skirtch-skirtch-skirtch noises when stopping. Changed front pads and rotors and it did not fix the noises. Brakes were well worn. Changed shoes, hardware, and drums and the noises still did not go away.

Hit a trash can with passenger side mirror, mirror glass popped out and shattered on the pavement. Replaced with a new OEM 87908-01080 Mirror Glass w/ Backplate and 2 new Drive Shaft Pins. Mirror cover was unaffected and undamaged.

Had a high pitch sound that got louder with speed. After Tech did a test drive and used a stethoscope, the noise was coming from left rear wheel bearing. Replaced whole hub assembly.
