A 321.0 mile trip from Buttonwillow to Vegas to end the PCH road trip. Assertive driving to maintain speed limits. Cruse control used on hills and flat areas. No traffic, hot temps crossing the desert. AC used all the way except up steep hills. No speeding, 65 and 70mph (+/- 4mph). High RPMs at times 4300+ to climb steep hills at 70mph in 4th gear. Paddle shifters used to hold 5th gear going up hills and 6th gear on flat areas. Again, surprised at the MPG. I was expecting 28mpg. Nevertheless, a strong tail wind 25 to 35 mph on the flat areas of the desert. Temps range from the mid 90s to 107 range. Hottest at Baker CA. I suspect driving conservatively I would have got about 40+ MPG. Nevertheless, not bad mileage to get there 15 to 20 min faster at speed limits.
