A 393.7 mile trip starting after midnight from Vegas to Mojave National Preserve, to Joshua Tree National Park, arriving at Salton Sea by morning and Yuma AZ at 230 PM. Encountered 14 miles off road at Box Canyon with deep sand and gravel areas and minimal trail due to flood damage from Sep 30. Used Cruse control at Twentynine Pams, and most of the drive from Salton Sea to Yuma which was at elevation below sea level. Not much elevation changes from Salton sea to Yuma AZ. Speed limits no more than 65mph. no traffic, mild winds cool temps ideal drive conditions. Yuma gas prices are the best compared to anything in CA.
