A 359.6 mile trip from Sacramento CA to Independence CA via the 50 and 395. Going through Echo Summit, Lake Tahoe, Carson City NV, Bridgeport, Lee Vining, and other places along CA395. AC was used from Bridgeport to Fuel up at Independence. Steep winding elevation climb from sea level at Sacramento to Echo Summit (7500 ft). Then 1000+ ft, steep winding descent from Echo Summit to Lake Tahoe. Then from Carson city, many huge elevation changes varying between 3500 ft to 8000+ ft going South on the 395. Same technique, keeping RPMs at 2K in 5th & 6th gear, and trying to keep RPMs under 2500 in 4th gear. Slower up hills, faster down hills. Maintaining speed limit 65 for most of the way.
