Dropped off with hard start, once white smoke, and engine light on.

Hard start, engine also revved up and down with white smoke at startup. This was after about an hour of driving and it had only sat about 10 minutes while I ran into ABC to get material. After the white smoke, I turned it off and let it sit about 30 seconds. I then started it again and it had a hard start but ran ok.
