SD Truck Springs add a leaf kit installed. Raised the rear from 26 1/4” to 29 3/8”. Im thinking that the rear springs are failing and either need to be re-arched or replaced long term.

EGR system clean using the Geno’s Garage kit. Egr has flaky deposits on the grid heater. Cleaned all valves and parts overnight in purple power and reassembled.

Changed oil and filter. Changed fuel filter - looked fine - installed cabin air filter - greased front drive shaft - added sea foam - cleansed MAP sensor. It was in bad shape and heavily sooted. Needs a new MAP sensor and EGR cleaned.

Rear driver side axle wheel seal blew and leaked oil. Tightened bearings and it was one flat tighter than previously after setting the seal. Used torque wrench to get to 22ft-lbs but it still seemed tighter than that. Backed it off to the previous flat and still feel some looseness but it is tighter than before. Well spun with no binding.

She'll Rotella T 2.5 gallon from Wal-Mart. Mopar filter from Wal-Mart Grapevine. Nothing abnormal. Oil full when drained.

Full synthetic gear oil. 75-90 Castroil in front. 75-140 Super Tech in rear. 4oz Mopar limited slip additive in rear. Did not resolve the factory pop due to pinion engagement. Gear wear looks good and is mostly centered. Looks like the pinion could engage the ring a bit more but wear is good. Just an annoying sound it appears.

Installed new front springs to solve the bottoming out issue. SDtrucksprings.com heavy duty springs for snow plow applications. Raised front 3" from where it was with sagging front springs. Factory springs were sagging more than 1" See thread on cumminsforum for more info.
