Carbon buildup seemed significant given how the car has been running rich. I top soaked the engine twice with Sea Foam, along with running Sea Foam in the crank case for ~120 miles. Then changed oil using 5w30 Amsoil and new premium CarQuest filter. Those filters are made by Purolator which was on the original engine photo. Running quite well now. Lots of smoke after the second top soak. Let it soak for nearly 20 min. Could have used more even, perhaps.

New fuel injectors and Bosch spark plugs. Ordered 4 extra as well. The plugs that were replaced are still good, but a forum said the original Bosch are the way to go. So I swapped them out to make sure they weren’t the cause of the engine issues I’ve been having (rough idle and periodic shut downs at speed.

Accidentally drained oil. Got new Amsoil 5w30. No oil filter available so left the old one on. Should be good for 6 months still. Also replaced in tank fuel strainer, pump and filter.

Valvoline 3&4 brake fluid Prestone Premium All Vehicle coolant 15yr/300k. Drained radiator and refilled. Didn’t drain engine block. Still took 1.7 gallons to refill. System is 2 gallons, so most fluid was replaced. 6.3 quarts 5W30 Amsoil Generic oil filter RainX wipers Air filter
