818am, arrived at shop for smog, air check Quote for thermostat replacement labor only 822am, female desk assistant, asked her about having the smog done, air check due to low tire pressure. She will ask the Manager about the replacement of the thermostat, for labor cost, 1.5 hrs. I was given labor estimate of $160.00. See if they can match the labor price. 839am, mechanic drives car into the bay for smog. 845am, spoke to Nathan, he said $180.00 includes the coolant. He can have them work on it now. 849am, drove car around the back side. 920am, completed replacement. Nathan found that the radiator is leaking at the bottom passenger side. Needs to be replaced. Labor cost to replace $250.00 I need to purchase a new radiator, along with upper and lower hoses. If it continues to heat up it’s because of the radiator.
