Taken for inspection at Merchants Tire. Failed inspection because "rear rotors rusted and pitted not enough braking surface." Wheel stud broke on right(?), rear(?) and had to be replaced. The stud replacement price inflated what should have been a $16 state inspection price. Did not have the time to get it taken care of in Lynchburg because of the short holiday window. Will get looked at back in Knoxville.

Driver-side, front headlight bulb replaced with Sylvania 9003 Basic halogen bulb. The faulty bulb would not light on low-beams, but would light on high-beams; the turn signal did not increase its period either.

Mileage on the invoice must have been recorded wrong when compared to fuel log the day prior to service. Service mileage reported here is that fuel log milege + 20 miles . Serviced at Pep Boys. Engine oil: Pennzoil Platinum 5W-20 Oil filter: Proline (PPL14459) Fuel system cleaner: Gumout 1 step fuel system cleaner (510008) Brake system inspected.

Serviced at Pep Boys. Engine oil: Pennzoil Platinum 5W-20 Oil filter: Proline (PPL14459) All four tires reportedly cupping. I was shown and felt this on one of the tires. The cupping likely caused the alignment to be out. Cupping is not bad enough to suggest new tires. Suggest maintenance: replacement of front struts (~$842.94) and rear shocks (~$285.54). Alignment may help, but because tires have been rotated it is not possible to tell if the cause is the front or rear suspension. Alignment performed. Alignment report with receipt.

Serviced at Pep Boys. Engine oil: Pennzoil Platinum 5W-20 Oil filter: Proline (PPL14459) Fuel system cleaner: Gumout 1 step fuel system cleaner (510008) Brakes inspected. Fuse replaced to fix 12v power outlet. Dwight [Pep Boys] suggested it may have been the radio fuse. The radio clock was reset, which lends support to his comment.

Winter prep package at Pep Boys: Alignment Check, Battery test, Battery protection service, Brake System Inspection, Coolant Evaluation, Tire Pressure check and adjust. Coolant good down to -20ºF, technician mentioned the possibility of lifetime coolant in the Kia Soul. Windshield wiper fluid drained because of unknown freezing point. Refilled with 1 gallon of Rain Cutter -25 windshield wiper fluid from Advance AutoParts. Front wiper blades replaced: Bosch Icon 20A, 24A.

Serviced at Pep Boys. Engine oil: Pennzoil Platinum 5W-20 Oil filter: Proline (PPL14459) (3) Tires were balanced– after having noticeably more wear on the inside of the tire, also suggested alignment. Alignment was performed.

Serviced at Parkside Kia. Dealer performed service per service/recall campaigns. SC098AM STOPLAMP SWITCH R&R: installed updated brake lamp switch. SC122 UNDERBODY ADDL ANTI-CORROSION: cavity wax and undercoating. Also performed multi-point inspection.

Wheel locks replaced on remaining 3 wheels.

Serviced at Fisher Tire. Front, right tire repaired- hard wood screw embedded in tread causing slow leak. Lug nuts on front right wheel replaced with non-locking lugs. Lugs of other three wheels can be replaced by purchasing at automotive parts store and bringing into a shop.
