Picked up the truck from Saddleback Automotive after they installed a new Pertronix unit. Truck runs much better with much more power, so the old unit must've been bad for a while. I guess vibrations from the old engine might have killed it. Also, when I found a little oil under it a few weeks back it might have prevented a good ground of the module. No more noticeable misfires, but I did feel a subtle miss up the hill on Pacific Park and Heather Ridge. I looked under the hood and one of the spark plug boots was not all the way fully covering the ceramic, so I pushed it all the way in. Probably when they removed the spark plug to check for spark they didn't fit it all the way back in. I drove the same route again and did not feel the miss again. It was either that or the fact that that I still have not gone through even half a tank of gas since I put the water remover and perhaps there is a little bit of water left. The fuel gauge just moved from Full today. I will monitor and reassess.
